What happened in 1066, again?

If I ever run into a class of U.S. kids who know why 1066 is an important date, I shall be moved to smile. Hasn’t happened yet.

Here’s an interesting and almost-fun post on the Battle of Hastings, from Samurai Dave.

One Response to What happened in 1066, again?

  1. The first thing my high school choir director told us on the 1st day of class was to remember that the Battle of hastings was in 1066. He would bring it up all of the time. It didn’t hurt that a rival football school was Hastings High School.

    This was in 1995.
