Today, at Crooked Timber he’s looking at zombie ideas he was sure would eventually go away — like the bizarre, false idea that a lot more DDT should be used to fight malaria.

    Quiggin is consistently excellent across a wide range of topics. He is kind of pessimistic about the immediate future of American politics, but that’s probably because our world looks really, really weird when viewed by someone from Oz.
