But the along came The Courant; not everyone got that one yet.
Then there’s National Report. Even fewer have it figured out.
So, there was uproar on Facebook, on Twitter, and probably on your e-mail, earlier this evening when this story leaked out gushed all over unwitting computer-screen gazers.

President Obama announcing the month of November to officially be ‘National Muslim Appreciation Month’.
Washington, DC — President Barack Obama held a press conference to announce that he is declaring the month of November ‘National Muslim Appreciation Month’.
“The Muslim community deserves our full acceptance and respect,” Obama told reporters. “We have killed millions of Muslims overseas since the September 11th attacks. They are not all bad. In fact most of them are good. So from now on, November will be a month to celebrate the Muslim community, the Sunnah and the Quran.”
Khaled Matei who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood‘s Freedom and Justice Party told CNN he is pleased with Obama and his actions. “I spoke with President Obama by telephone yesterday and personally thanked him for what he is doing for the Muslim community,” Matei said. “This is definitely a step in the right direction I explained to him. Praise Allah.”
Obama informed reporters about his future plans for helping Muslims around the world. “I will be working with Congress in making it easier for Muslims to earn a Green Card and achieve American citizenship,” Obama said. “Currently as it stands, obtaining a Visa or Green Card for a Muslim is very difficult. There are too many background checks in place and I plan to fix that.” Obama continued, “Muslims are hardworking people who are just looking to live the American Dream like the rest of us. Mr. Matei of the Muslim Brotherhood assured me they want to come to this country to help us, not harm us.”
Obama finished the press conference by explaining to reporters how happy he is with America. “Folks, there is no way we could have had a ‘National Muslim Appreciation Month’ 20 years ago. That really says a lot about the growth and progress of this great country.”

Should we count the ways it’s a hoax?
- Would any president commending any group start out by noting the U.S. has killed millions of that group recently? Do you think the White House estimates deaths that high?
- Did you see any reports of the President talking with any Egyptian reporters? No. Did you wonder who in the heck Khaled Matei is? (Yeah, if you’re not going to be as wise as a cub reporter, maybe you should leave the reporting to the guys with the mainstream media.)
- You’ve seen how well Congress received their own members’ proposals for immigration reform that is sorely needed — when the Obama in the story pledges to work with Congress to increase immigration for Muslims, by relaxing background checks, didn’t your eye at least twitch?
- Did you notice the phone number listed for “The National Muslim Appreciation Hotline?” First, when was the last time you saw any White House advertise a hotline other than a government service? But second, didn’t you get the least bit curious about that number? Hmmm. (785) 273-0325. I don’t even recognize the area code. Google it . . . voila! It’s the number for Westboro Baptist Church.
- The reporter has a Peabody and a Pulitzer? He stopped a robbery by quoting Pulp Fiction? Maybe you need to replace your Hemingway completely.
- Over at the White House website, they list and record almost every word that comes out of Obama’s entire operation. Check it. There’s no Muslim Appreciation Month.
- Maybe you have to have staffed Congress to notice this, but most Presidential Proclamations of National Pickle Week or National Ski Patrol Month are accompanied by a resolution from one or both houses of Congress asking the president to make the proclamation. See any such bill for this? I don’t see one.
I got suckered by a story in National Report a couple of months ago. When you name your blog after one of the most famous hoaxes in history, you really need to be careful. So I was suspicious from the start.
But it got picked up by GOP – The Daily Dose? That’s legitimate sounding enough to gullible Obama H8ers that I suspect they didn’t even pause. Cleverly, Daily Dose listed the story as “via NRO,” the acronym for National Review Online — but of course, that’s not correct.
Then the Dominoes of Gullibility started to fall; among those suckered:

- The Tree of Liberty
- Nathan Fields on Facebook
- US Constitutional Freepress smelled a rat, but ran with the story anyway
- Patriots Billboard
- Free Republic had a thread — then pulled the whole thing when it was exposed

- Update, October 2 – Lone Star Tea Party got punked, but recovered
Wow. How many people got suckered by that hoax? Were you among them?

Your history on accuracy and comity is not one that suggests accuracy in reporting Obama is something you work for, however. For example, your post at RebelMouse on ObamaCare is snarky, and wrong.
In contrast to the one error you have corrected me on, you mis-typify my post as error-laden. Such a jaundiced eye as yours is not one I would trust in most cases.
You get the benefit of my great doubts here. I wish you were so careful in all your writing, and less prone to accept hoaxes as true, simply because you don’t like the guy involved.

Generally that’s not supported by anything in the Constitution, and precious little in the Declaration of Independence.
Specifically, the U.S. was not founded as leaning to any religion. Article VI of the Constitution specifically forbade it; the First Amendment reinforced that idea.

After all they said “The Government of the United States is not, in any sense, based on Christianity.” The only Christian principle that existed in this country at the time of its founding, child, was the justifications for slavery. Ms. EDDIE BERNICE JOHNSON of Texas (for herself, Mr. ELLISON, Mr. CARSON of Indiana, Ms. MCCOLLUM, Ms. LEE of California, Mr. GRIJALVA, Mr. CONYERS, Ms. JACKSON LEE, Ms. MOORE, Mr. SHERMAN, Mr. MORAN, Mr. KILDEE, Mr. HONDA, and Mr. LEWIS) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs
RESOLUTION
Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and commending Muslims in the United States and throughout the world for their faith.
Whereas since the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, threats and incidents of violence have been directed at law-abiding, patriotic Americans of African, Arab, and South Asian descent, particularly members of the Islamic faith;
Whereas, on September 14, 2001, the House of Representatives passed a concurrent resolution condemning bigotry and violence against Arab-Americans, American Muslims, and Americans from South Asia in the wake of the terrorist attacks;
Whereas it is estimated that there are approximately 1,600,000,000 Muslims worldwide;
Whereas over 3,600 Muslims serve on active duty and over 1,700 Muslims serve as selected reserve personnel in the United States Armed Forces;
Whereas Ramadan is the holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal for Muslims worldwide, and is the 9th month of the Muslim calendar year; and
Whereas the observance of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan commences at dusk on July 8, 2013, and continues for one lunar month: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That–
(1) during this time of conflict, in order to demonstrate solidarity with and support for members of the community of Islam in the United States and throughout the world, the House of Representatives recognizes the Islamic faith as one of the great religions of the world; and
(2) in observance of and out of respect for the commencement of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, the House of Representatives acknowledges the onset of Ramadan and expresses its deepest respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world on this significant occasion.

The Saudi’s are controlling this whole mess. Personally, if not for the innocent Arab Christians, Jews and non Muslims, I would wish the Muslims would quickly dispose of each other. Permanently!
The Saudis are stirring all this up using the Wahhabi Salafi, and they have Obama assisting them. If Syria falls into the hands of the Salafi “Wahhabi” then you will see a real hell in the Mideast.
The Saudi’s have done something we haven’t seen since Muhammad, they have quietly brought all these tribes together, and as shaky as their alliances are, they are damn well a dangerous force.
King Abdullah had wanted to run a pipe line across the Northern regions of Libya, Gaddafi said hell no, he’s now dead and gone via the Salafi, Mubarak said no, and he was taken out of office, King Abdullah II of Jordan has said no deal and has said that if Syria falls, then his country would fall soon after, as did Assad. The Saudis tried to work out a deal with the use of the Yemeni sea ports and they turned down the Saudis offer and soon after were deposed of?
This is about Saudi Arabia, the House of Saud, not the Sunni’s. not Hamas or Hezbollah, nor the Shia or any other Muslim tribe, this is all about the Saudi’s, they need their neighbors oil, they are calling the shots, and Obama is aiding them, he’s financing and weaponizing their Salafi!
Gullible, no Ed, I’m far from being gullible. If the FSA backed Salafi gets their hands on Syria, they will turn, and are now as a fact turning on the FSA.
If Syria falls, they will then sweep through Lebanon and eliminate the much smaller Hezbollah forces and take Lebanon, then Jordan, afterwards, the West Bank and Gaza Strip wiping out the much hated Palestinians. They are already amassing for another attempt to recapture Egypt.
The Saudis pretty much have control the Yemeni sea ports, and want to run their pipe line through Syria. And all of this is being directed by Prince Bandar, from the Yemeni fiasco to the Syrian flip flopping, the Saudis are neck deep in it all.
By taking Lebanon, they will have control of both the Eastern and Western sea ports of the Mideast and is why Egypt was such a great loss to Obama and the Saudis. Not to forget either that the Saudis have the huge refineries and can process all this oil?! By doing so, they could really put the squeeze on the Iraqis and Iranians, and even later the Turks forcing them to send all their crude oil through them!
By their getting control of these border country’s surrounding Israel, it would also shut her off from the rest of the Mideast, and her back would then truly be to the sea! They could easily make Israel kneel to them, through nothing more than intimidation.
Add all this up and the Saudis have an unbeatable monopoly on the oil, oil they themselves are quickly running out of, is also why Obama refuses to allow the Keystone pipe line, it would later ruin the Saudi’s economy.
There’s your picture Ed, simple, proven, and it’s happening under our noses.
For this reason only, We had best pray that Syria stays in the hands of Assad! That’s who I’m rooting for Ed, Assad!

Obama aids the Wahhabi Salafi despite the over whelming proof that it was the Wahhabi Salafi who were in fact the ones who kidnapped their victims from another village and then killed them with the sarin gas, blaming that attack on Assad, the same Wahhabi Salafi who are assisting the FSA against the SAA.
Obama aids and is giving comfort to the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization by financing and weaponizing them, they are as a fact now responsible for the over throw of Yemen, Nigeria, Egypt and Libya and are now operating in Syria against Assad, all at the direction of the Saudi Chief intelligence Prince Bandar who has been known to have a very close and cuddly relationship with Baraq Hussein Obama..
Obama was aiding the Egyptian President Morsi, a well known Sunni Muslim Brotherhood member, who it is now being correctly reported to have been directly involved with the Benghazi attack, it is also known that Obama’s brother Malik Obama, was working closely with President Morsi and the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood who were committing genocide against the Christian and non Muslim populations before his arrest, and, is now being sought after by the new Egyptian leadership for terrorism charges…
Obama was going to send Morsi 200 Abrams tanks and 20 F-18 fighter jets, not including the 3 billion we the tax payers had already choked up lining the pockets of the well connected terrorist leader Morsi!
Obama has pledged $900 million to Hamas, another well organized terrorist group! $450 million to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, $60 million to the Syrian opposition, and the money and pledges go on and on and on!
Obama is in direct contact with and is being directed by the Saudi Chief Intelligence Prince Bandar, who by his direction was going to invade Syria possibly kicking off a major war in the Mideast, and who no doubt, at the behest of the House of Saud, over threw Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, including the fact that Obama poured tons of weapons over these borders to these terrorist Michael, as is was a proven fact.
Obama has hired 8 known CAIR supporters in his administration who are also directly connected to the Salafi and Sunni Muslim Brotherhood and FSA “Sunni” terrorist, as well as another 5 who work for him indirectly.
I wonder why we Conservatives would ever dare try to link your precious messiah Obama with the Muslims Michael, without any proof! (/sarc) Shame on us for it?!

Coast to Coast ran the story last nite. This hysterical journalist tod all of america that november was muslim appreciation month without checking her facts. She has a show on russia today. Shes telling everyone. She was sort of an idiot so she desrrves what she gets. But national muslim month also voolatrs the separation of church and state.

A real reporter from an real Egyptian newspaper — such interviews are always listed in the White House logs. You didn’t bother to check to see if his name showed up? Ever wonder why “due diligence” is such a valued phrase? Oh, that’s right, you were making it up. Putting a real name into a hoax story doesn’t make the hoax real. Those who repeated the hoax should have smelled it from the get-go.
You don’t find it odd that any reporter can call from Egypt and get through to the President? That just smacks of “made-up.” Obviously, you were able to sucker others.

Jericho777 didn’t get snookered.
Did mistake the National Report for the more reliable National Review. Believing it was the Review, was why I posted it to begin with, and had I realized it was the National Report, I would not have touched the article and would have known better. Even though I trust the Review completely, I still felt uneasy about the article and wrote a disclaimer to that effect following the article.
5 minutes after I posted the article, did I then realized it was the National Report and not the National Review that the article originated from. I am familiar with the National Report, and know them to be a satire news site from 3 years back and immediately corrected my mistake with the following update which was highlighted and easy to see by those who visited and shared the article from my blog site.
