Blinken takes down Republican complaints about foreign affairs
Sec. of State Antony Blinken giving updates to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs in March 2023.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken was asked some leading questions by Democrats on the House Foreign Relations Committee, especially Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Virginia.
Watch. The answers are good. Biden inherited a foreign affairs mess from Trump. Biden, and Blincken, have been cleaning up the messes. Connolly and Blinken take down Republican arguments against President Biden’s foreign policies.
If you listened to Republicans this morning, you'd think they slept through the Trump years.
Secretary Blinken was before @HouseForeign today. I took the chance to correct the record. Turns out the Trump Administration left quite a mess for him to clean up.

My blog, Millard Fillmore's Bathtub, is a continuing experiment to test how to use blogs to improve and speed up learning processes for students, perhaps by making some of the courses actually interesting. It is a blog for teachers, to see if we can use blogs. It is for people interested in social studies and social studies education, to see if we can learn to get it right. It's a blog for science fans, to promote good science and good science policy. It's a blog for people interested in good government and how to achieve it.

There was no gift of money to Iran. Under the agreement, as all parties confirmed, Iran stopped working on nuclear weapons, or even improving nuclear power reactors (which is why they asked for support for electricity generating). Iran allowed observers until Trump vitiated the agreement. Blame Trump for lack of observation. Trump knew that he was green-lighting nuclear weapons development in Iran, but blundered on anyway. If you ask him about it, it’ll become clear to you he didn’t understand the agreement then, nor does he understand nuclear weapons or peaceful uses of nuclear reactors.
Take a break. You’re overwrought. Perhaps read “The Fifth Risk” by Michael Lewis. Not exactly relaxing, but educational, important, and gripping.
Blinken is lying about iran and effectiveness of the “agreement” that had Obama gifting iran with tens of billion$ which they used to work in nukes /give to other terrorist groups. iran continued to prevent observers while they worked on nukes. Blinken belongs in jail for federal election fraud for working with cia to plant FALSE letter from 51 intel heads claiming Hunter laptop was Russian.
