[This was written by our 18-year old.  She generally putters around the kitchen and avoids the laptop when it’s there; occasionally she takes a few stabs at the keyboard of the desktop.  But never before has she shown any interest in actually writing anything.  Last night she said she was hungry, and she was plainly irritated that I was doing nothing to get her dinner to her.  When I answered the telephone, she took the opportunity to write her own little headline and a short line for the body of the post.  I’m posting it as revenge.

Did I say she is 18?  You expect more?

Did I mention Meow is a cat?]

With the 18-year-old, I thought that maybe you had adopted a creationist.

I don’t know how she got from the title to the body, nor have I figured out how she did the shift for capital letters — maybe a hit on caps lock, and then another?

As for AYP, we can only hope. Her surly sister is working hard at adding inflection to her language, but the enunciation is really poor. It’s scary how she gets the right number of syllables and inflection into a sentence, as if she’s trying to speak English and not cat. It’s scarier that we can all figure out what she’s saying she wants.

AYP for an 18-year-old cat may be an anachronism. In cat years, what is she — 96? 117? She’s up there.

If cats are going to keyboard dance, you may end up with your monitor viewing sideways. Here’s the fix–

How did yours manage to do the first line as well as the title? I wondered how you do all that posting.

December 9, 2008. Are we going to see some AYP?
