Quote of the Moment, October 29, 1941: Churchill, ‘never give in’
Churchill speaking at the Albert Hall in London, 1944, at an American Thanksgiving Celebration. Churchill Centre image
Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never — in nothing, great or small, large or petty — never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense!
The oratory style almost fits an Aftican American, like MLK or Al Sharpton. Good use of repetition. Still LOVE the preview pop up thing that your page does.
I made up a Churchill quote today. I was leaving school (located on property once owned by Churchill’s grandfater) with a history teacher, and we discussed “never before have so many owed so much to so few” (should look it up and get it exact). So I told the guy that the RAF pilots had been given unlimited tabs at every pub across England, and actually, never before had so few owed so much to so many….

We've been soaking in the Bathtub for several months, long enough that some of the links we've used have gone to the Great Internet in the Sky.
If you find a dead link, please leave a comment to that post, and tell us what link has expired.
Thanks!

My blog, Millard Fillmore's Bathtub, is a continuing experiment to test how to use blogs to improve and speed up learning processes for students, perhaps by making some of the courses actually interesting. It is a blog for teachers, to see if we can use blogs. It is for people interested in social studies and social studies education, to see if we can learn to get it right. It's a blog for science fans, to promote good science and good science policy. It's a blog for people interested in good government and how to achieve it.

Click on the photo above, and it will take you to the Churchill Centre, in England. I believe they have the rights.
