300,000

Sometime tomorrow, November 7, 2007, this blog will record its 300,000th “view.”

Thanks, again.

I wonder: Does any of this have any good effect?

Ed, I always appreciate your insights, and the wide net you cast in capturing interesting topics.

Knowing your interest in biological evolution, here are some outstanding and brief videos from youtube showing conclusive evidence of our common ancestry with our closest living non-human cousins:

Regarding an earlier post about the lack of supersonic flight in your tribute to Chuck Yeager: Engineers are hard at work to produce aircraft with features that drastically reduce the sound from the shock wave in the direction of the ground, so that supersonic travel over populated areas will be feasible. So don’t give up on the idea just yet.

    Keep up the great work.

That’s what I get. Alternate media provide connections on the “Long Tail” of the internet. Any fool can echo headlines. Looking at what is going on in the world and making the connections that are significant is a job for insightful people : though some get carried away.

Yes, it does. It points me to postings elsewhere I would not have seen. You screen a lot of sites I don’t, and cull them for useful posts here. Not every day; not all the time. But often enough to make it worth my checking in to see what’s new here each day.
