Well, no, we haven’t. Nice little post by a photographer urging people to go look to see what they can find, with a brilliantly concise set of arguments about big things discovered just in the past few years.
Nice photos, too — go see.

Retired teacher of law, economics, history, AP government, psychology and science. Former speechwriter, press guy and legislative aide in U.S. Senate. Former Department of Education. Former airline real estate, telecom towers, Big 6 (that old!) consultant. Lab and field research in air pollution control. My blog, Millard Fillmore's Bathtub, is a continuing experiment to test how to use blogs to improve and speed up learning processes for students, perhaps by making some of the courses actually interesting. It is a blog for teachers, to see if we can use blogs. It is for people interested in social studies and social studies education, to see if we can learn to get it right. It's a blog for science fans, to promote good science and good science policy. It's a blog for people interested in good government and how to achieve it. Neat photos. Thanks, Ed. And, I’ve just sent a link to a friend of mine whose twelve year old daughter takes some of the best nature photos I’ve ever seen. I’m thinking she’ll like that site.

The Bathtub had notes on two of the “newly-discovered” falls in South America — I know, you were too busy to visit.
Thanks for dropping by when you can.

I liked it better when nice accessible Yosemite Falls was still the tallest in the world according to most books, though in fact we knew about Angel Falls — where No White Man had ever set foot yet.
The new list is amazing. Why had I not heard heard about the new 400-footer? Bah.
