I also remember. And I voted a straight Democratic ticket.

For the first time too I voted a straight Democratic ticket.
Not one single Republican did I vote for this time despite voting for Republicans before. And until the Republican party gets head out of whatever orifice it stuck it into and starts caring about the people instead of their paying masters I will never vote Republican again.

Good for you, Ed! I remember, too. And I remember that today is All Souls Day…when some Christians remember the faithful departed. I remember the 29 human beings who perished in a West Virginia coal mine. And I remember the 11 human beings who perished on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. I remember that the Republican Party so deregulated and gutted safety and inspection laws in such a way as to make these deaths almost a certainty. I remember that Chile and Brazil and South Korea and Germany have had similar disasters without loss of life. Because they have rigorous safety and inspection standards. I remember which party wants the United States to protect its workers and environment. I remember which party wants to fatten the wallets of its campaign donors and corporate big wigs at the expense of workers. I, too, remember. And yes, Ed. I am voting (for the first time in my life) a straight Democratic ticket.
