Deserts are increasing pretty much in line with global warming. Somalia is out of sight and out of mind for a lot of people. But people get cranky when there’s not enough food to survive. In the US we will have enough to worry about when we have to decide if we just write off AZ, NV, OK, and TX because of drought. Not to mention places like Miami and New Orleans because of sea level rise.

Nice video. African ecological collapse is/will be one of the most shocking and horrific trials the human race will ever face. The solutions will have to come from a rock-solid commitment of the african peoples to preserving their ecological birthright.
Top down solutions from Europe or the U.S. are not going anywhere.
