At CNN, Anderson Cooper shot down Rep. Michelle Bachmann’s absurd claims

CNN, of all outlets, let Anderson Cooper roam through Michelle Bachmann’s absurd, hoax claim that President Obama’s trip to India would cost $200 million a day.  Cooper really owns Bachmann on this one.

Good grief, Jim. She doesn’t even have one “mostly true” statement. Even Glenn Beck has some “true” and “mostly true” credits. She just ranges from “false” to “pants on fire.”

Posted to facebook. Politifact was all over this, too. You should really read Michele Bachmann’s entire profile there.

For some reason I can’t stand Anderson Cooper–maybe I’m just irrationally prejudiced against people who have surnames for their first names–but I’m loving this video. It’s about time the media started calling out jackassery on sight.

Good for Anderson Cooper. He’s correct. There are many reasons to criticize the President. It really isn’t necessary to lie about him.

Unfortunately, the people who believe this tripe, will not be listening to him, or even bother to do any arithmetic. They’ll just drink the Kool-aid and leech onto the loonies.
