Rebecca,
Maybe you’re not attracting the wrong people. Or, perhaps your case was so brilliantly made, no one could pick a fight. Be optimistic!

I’s a homeschooling mom and I blogged a couple of weeks back about why I believe that teaching your kids creation science or intelligent design is not only bad science, but is dangerous to your child’s long term spiritual well being (http://www.theupsidedownworld.wordpress.com/2008/02/25/teaching-creation-science-or-id-a-formula-for-putting-your-childs-christian-faith-at-risk/). Thankfully, all of the comments I got were positive. I must not be attracting the right people ;P

Thanks, Ed. I especially appreciated the perspective that, whatever our individual beliefs, the current state of public primary school education in the US has us all “home schooling” on this important topic.
Keep up the good work! (Especially here in Texas.)

Wow – that certainly stirred up a hornet’s nest! It was interesting – albeit a little sad – to observe how the discussion devolved.
